Here are some wine highlights. March is wine month in Washington State. In Seattle, restaurants, wine shops and tasting rooms celebrate the state’s wines throughout the month. This culminates in the four-day Taste Washington extravaganza, 22nd– 25th March in 2018, featuring top chefs and the region’s best winemakers. Menus revolve around the state’s signature ingredients.
Year round, Walter Clore Wine and Culinary Center, in Prosser serves as a central gathering place for industry and consumers to discover Washington wine and agriculture through engaging events and innovative programmes. Right next door, Desert Wind Winery has some wonderful south western adobe style lodging.
The Lodge, newly opened at Columbia Point, Richland and the Courtyard by Marriott alongside, have a splendid riverside location from which to tour Red Mountain wineries.
POUR is a superb Saturday celebration in August by Seattle urban wineries.
